Gin Huang Gallery is pleased to present Where the Light Begins, a new solo exhibition by Polish contemporary artist Igor Dobrowolski, opening on November 28, 2025, at our Taichung space. This exhibition highlights Dobrowolski’s recent sculptural paintings—works composed through the interweaving of metal elements, dense impasto, and dynamic material textures. Through these layered surfaces, the artist investigates the relationship between light, memory, and the human spiritual condition. The result is a powerful visual language that exists at the threshold between materiality and consciousness.

Polish contemporary artist Igor Dobrowolski is internationally acclaimed for his powerful and emotionally resonant works that explore the human condition, trauma, and hope. His celebrated Gold Relief Series—hand-cast aluminum sculptures with golden surfaces—juxtapose luxury with fragility, transforming gold from a symbol of wealth into a medium of emotional introspection.

In a global era shaped by accelerating cultural, political, and technological shifts, the notion of “borders” has become increasingly complex. Borders today are not merely geographic—they extend into culture, language, identity, and psychology. They define, divide, but also enable encounters and dialogues.

Gin Huang Gallery will showcase Japanese artist Yusuke Toda at the Art Monster International Art Fair 2025. The exhibition features new paintings and a limited edition of hand-painted sculptures, reflecting Toda’s unique style. Influenced by anime and pop culture, his work invites visitors into a whimsical realm called “ATELIER YUM.”

Since the late 20th century, Urban Art, including Street Art and Graffiti, has gained global popularity as a medium for cultural expression and societal critique. Its roots trace back to the 1970s in New York. An upcoming exhibition by Gin Huang Gallery will highlight diverse international artists, exploring themes like identity and globalization.
