Gin Huang Gallery Artists
Specialising in a diverse field, Gin Huang Gallery works presents the work of an international roster of influential and emerging artists whose work intrinsically connects to popular culture in an accessible fashion.
This includes several internationally familiar names such as Japanese pop art titans Takashi Murakami and Yayoi Kusama, popular New York street artist and designer KAWS, Sicilian sculptor Arturo Di Modica, best known for his Iconic wall street bull, and American graffitist turned modern artist Jean-Michel Basquiat.
Gin Huang Gallery simultaneously manages and develops both established and rapidly emerging contemporary artists. This includes British artist George Morton-Clark, whose work combines cartoons with street art and abstraction; French-Chinese master Feng Xiao-Min, whose primary creations revolve around abstract landscapes; and Polish artist Igor Dobrowolski, known for his long-standing focus on societal issues and humanitarianism, using metal materials and mirror processing. Dobrowolski also employs mixed media and opal to create three-dimensional crystals, symbolizing that past sorrows and hardships ultimately transform into beautiful crystalline forms. Japanese artist Yuichi Hirako expresses the symbiotic relationship between plants and humans through tree-like figures. In 2020, Hirako personally came from Japan to Taiwan to participate in the opening exhibition of Gin Huang Gallery in Taichung.
Gin Huang Gallery Exhibitions and Art Fairs
Cross-promoting across online and offline platforms, Gin Huang Gallery holds significant solo and group exhibitions for its artists both in the physical gallery space and online.
In 2019, Gin Huang Gallery held George Morton-Clark’s first solo exhibition in Taiwan, Same Tomorrow As Yesterday (2019). In 2020 Gin Huang Gallery opened its new location in Taichung with GIN HUANG Gallery Taichung (2020) – a group show presenting work by an international group of contemporary artists. That same year Gin Huang Gallery presented the online show Art On Paper (2020) presenting the creative process of several international artists through their works on paper.
It seeks not only to display its artists on digital international platforms, but also on physical ones such as art fairs. Gin Huang Gallery continues to participate in international art fairs including online and offline. Including Art Taipei 2021, Art Taipei 2022, Hong Kong Art Central 2022, and Art Taipei 2023, among others.
