KAWS has debuted his first solo exhibition in the middle east at the ‘fire station’ venue in Doha is now on view until January 25. along with over 40 original artworks from his twenty-year career, KAWS has also installed a monumental, 40-meter long inflatable sculpture ‘HOLIDAY’ along the dhow harbor.

Knife Behind Back, a large-scale painting by Nara, just sold at Sotheby’s Contemporary Art Evening Sale in Hong Kong for HK$195.7m (US$25m), nearly five times its record set in this afternoon. The new record is also a milestone for Yoshitomo Nara as he becomes the most expensive Japanese artist.
