It came to our attention that somebody has impersonated Artsy\u2019s partner, Gin Huang Gallery, in email communications with some of the gallery\u2019s contacts. The bad actor is using the false email: “ginhuanggalarie@gmail.com<\/u><\/font>“.<\/b><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Artsy users\u2019 email security and data protection are of paramount importance to Gin Huang Gallery and Artsy. Our records show you\u2019ve previously connected with the gallery, so we wanted to make you aware of the issue right away.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

To ensure your security, we wanted to bring this to your attention so you can verify who you\u2019re corresponding with moving forward. We recommend the following next steps:<\/p>\n

\u261eIf you\u2019ve received any message and invoice from the scam email \u201cginhuanggalarie@gmail.com \u201c, \u201cGinnhuanggallery@gmail.com”, please do not trust it and report to \u201ctrust@artsy.net\u201d.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u261eIn view of the fact that the scam email is too similar to be easily distinguished by collectors. Therefore, Gin Huang Gallery no longer use \u201cginhuanggallery@gmail.com\u201d reply to customer’s inquiry from August 15, 2020, at 18:00 PM (GMT+8)<\/b><\/p>\n

\u261eVisit Artsy\u2019s partner, Gin Huang Gallery: https:\/\/www.artsy.net\/gin-huang-gallery , or verify with Gin Huang Gallery directly by emailing \u201c info@ginhuanggallery.com \u201c, copied, for more information.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u261eBlock the false email address \u201cginhuanggalarie@gmail.com\u201d with your email provider to prevent further communications.<\/p>\n

\u261eNever share your personal information (such as date of birth or credit card details, etc.) via email.<\/p>\n

\u261eAlways ask the gallery to confirm wire details using 2 methods (i.e. encrypted invoice and the phone number listed above.)<\/p>\n

\u261eIn an overabundance of caution we recommend applying the following best practices: regularly change your Artsy password, as well as your mailbox passwords; do not use easy-to-guess passwords; and use unique passwords for each website or online service.<\/p>\n
